Guinness Book’s World’s Tallest Family Hails From Northern Minnesota

The Guinness Book of World Records’ newly certified “tallest family in the world” lives in Duluth, Minnesota.

The Trapp family was just given the title of world’s tallest family at an average height of 6 feet, 8 inches tall.

The mom is the shortest at 6 feet, 3 inches tall.

The dad is 6 feet, 8 inches; one daughter is 6 feet, 8.1 inches; another daughter is 6 feet, 6 inches; and the son is 7 feet 3 inches.

According to Guinness, one daughter has been recruited by UCLA to play Division I basketball.

Mitchell coach Deb Thill to retire after 2025-26 school year

The Mitchell School District says longtime coach Deb Thill will retire at the end of the 2025-26 school year after 35 years leading Kernels athletics. Thill was the first volleyball coach at Mitchell High School and has been the program’s only head coach, the district said.
