City Of Mitchell Reminding Citizens To Check Sump Pumps

The City of Mitchell would like to remind the citizens to check their sump pumps to make sure that they are working properly.

It is recommended that sump pumps be drained to the curb. If possible, do not drain water in your backyard so you or your neighbor does not have to recycle the ground water.

Do not drain sump pumps into floor drains or into the sanitary sewer system. This may cause the sanitary sewer system to back up on you or your neighbors.
