Christmas Trees Are Already on Display at Costco and Sam’s Club

Christmas trees and other festive products have already surfaced at stores across the US four months ahead of the holiday.

Costco, Sam’s Club, and Walmart were among the several stores to hang displays in August – with hardware giant Home Depot rolling out holiday items as early as mid-July.

Still 118 days away, social media followers slammed the early displays as madness’ and a ‘money grab’ during difficult economic times for most Americans.

On the flip side, some shrewd shoppers have embraced the early stocking – taking advantage of deals being offered to buy the trees earlier than one might initially prefer.

Mitchell coach Deb Thill to retire after 2025-26 school year

The Mitchell School District says longtime coach Deb Thill will retire at the end of the 2025-26 school year after 35 years leading Kernels athletics. Thill was the first volleyball coach at Mitchell High School and has been the program’s only head coach, the district said.
