2022’s Most Popular Halloween Costumes, According To Google

Halloween is less than two weeks away and if you’re still trying to decide what to dress up as, Google is here to help. Google Trends has released its 2022 FrightGeist, a list of the top searched costumes in the U.S., as well as the most popular ones in major cities across the country.

Last year, some of the most popular choices were “Squid Game,” “Among Us” and Cruella De Vil costumes and this year, some of the top 10 costumes are also inspired by popular shows and movies. “Stranger Things”-inspired costumes come in at number four and “Hocus Pocus” costumes are 14th, following the recent release of the sequel to the 1993 cult classic. But for the second year in a row, a witch is the number one costume.

Mitchell coach Deb Thill to retire after 2025-26 school year

The Mitchell School District says longtime coach Deb Thill will retire at the end of the 2025-26 school year after 35 years leading Kernels athletics. Thill was the first volleyball coach at Mitchell High School and has been the program’s only head coach, the district said.
