Drew Ivery was born in Sulphur Springs, Tx and raised in Winnsboro, Tx. Former collegiate musician at the University of Arkansas at Monticello turned radio guy at Texas A&M University-Commerce where he graduated with his Bachelor’s in 2020.

Ivery has been working in radio since 2017 where his newfound love for radio combined with his passion for sports came together. He hosted the student show at TAMUC called “Lions After Dark” which won two awards in his two years doing the show.

He’s also been a sports writer for various professional & self-made outlets covering sports for years at the collegiate and professional levels. Aside from the last couple of summers, he covered the WNBA’s Dallas Wings since the 2018 season and was an All-Star & End-of-season awards voter for the league for three years (2020-2022).

His broadcasting career began in 2021 where he was the Voice of the Sulphur Springs Wildcat football team. His love & passion for it grew rapidly once he began. Crediting broadcasters such as Charlie Chitwood (TAMUC) & Andrew Monaco Sr (Texas A&M) as the primary catalysts for building his interest in getting behind the mic to do play-by-play once the opportunity arose. He was a board operator for both of those these individuals for at least one season. Ivery was the Voice of the Wildcats for two seasons before new opportunity came calling in South Dakota. He was most recently the Voice of the Dakota State Trojans in Madison for one season (2023-24) where he also hosted the morning show at KJAM Radio.
