Jon Bon Jovi’s son to play football at Notre Dame

Jon Bon Jovi’s son Jesse has made the roster at college football powerhouse Notre Dame for the upcoming season.

Jesse Bongiovi will suit up as a cornerback when the Fighting Irish take on Temple University this weekend.

Team coach Brian Kelly says, “Jesse has earned his spot on the 105. He’s a tough kid. The kids really like him. They respect him. They don’t look at him as a rock star’s son. They look at him as a kid that loves Notre Dame and wants to play football and help this team.”

And Kelly admits he’s a big fan of the teenager’s rock star dad: “He’s a great guy. He’s a grounded guy.”

Bongiovi isn’t the only music star’s son currently playing in college football’s top flight – Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ kid Justin made his debut for UCLA last season.
