Volunteer Reception Center Set Up In Wessington Springs

Officials coordinating Wessington Springs’ recovery from last week’s tornado have established a volunteer reception center to match those offering assistance with those who need help.  People coming to Wessington Springs to offer help are asked to register at the center, which is located at the Wessington Springs Elementary School.

Mayor Melissa Mebius says help is needed with general debris cleanup.  She also says there is an ongoing need for cash donations.  Donations can be made through the Red Cross at or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
