A Wisconsin woman on her way to Sturgis lost her trailer and its contents to a fire yesterday. 34 year old Nicole Lockwood was driving west on I-90. A tire blew out on her enclosed trailer, sparking several small fires for miles, but Lockwood did not notice. The inside of the trailer also caught fire. Lockwood eventually noticed something was wrong, stopped on the interstate about 10 miles east of Mitchell, and found her trailer was on fire. She was heading to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally where she was going to sell leather seal. Fire departments from Alexandria, Emery, and Spencer responded to the scene, as did the Davison County Sheriff’s Office.
