Stickney and Corsica will consolidate their school districts beginning July 1st of next year. An election was held yesterday in which the new plan was approved overwhelmingly in both school districts. In Corsica, 172 voted yes on the plan, while 41 voted no. In Stickney, 162 voted for the plan, and 30 voted no. The two school districts have co-oped for sports for several years and have shared teachers. Under the new plan, students in grades K-6 will attend school in Stickney. Students in grades 7-12 will attend classes in Corsica.
