Sioux Falls Mayor Wins Second Term

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The mayor of South Dakota’s largest city will serve another four years in office.

Sioux Falls voters on Tuesday backed Mayor Mike Huether for another term, over City Councilman Greg Jamison. In Yankton, it was a different story — with voters there ousting incumbent Mayor Nancy Wenande.

Voters in Sioux Falls also favored rezoning land for a controversial new Wal-Mart store. But they rejected a new outdoor pool at Spellerberg Park, after a campaign by a group pushing for an indoor pool.
