Seven-Year Old Dies In Accident

A seven-year old child is dead following a one-vehicle crash on Highway 25 south of Scotland on Friday.  Kirstan Roubideaux was a passenger in a car driven by 28-year old Stephanie Kae Hamilton of Yankton.  The vehicle left the roadway to the right, hit a field approach, and rolled.  Kirstan Roubideaux and five-year old Colton Roubideaux were not wearing seat belts and were thrown from the vehicle.  Kirstan died at the scene.  Colton is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.  The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating with assistance from the Bon Homme County Sheriff’s Office, Bon Homme County Fire Department, and Scotland Police Department.
