A Mississippi family was selected as this year’s winner of the city’s rodeo package. Jimmy and Bonnie Barthel and their granddaughter, 13-year old Chastity Williams, all of Jackson, Mississippi, received free tickets to the Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo, a night’s stay at the Mitchell Super 8 Motel, lunch at the Depot, free admission to city attractions, and a key to the city. The family was returning to Mississippi when Davison County Sheriff Steve Brink pulled them over and presented the prize package to them. The Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo continues tonight at 8:00 at the rodeo grounds.
