Funeral Services For Ziolkowski Begin Monday

The funeral services for Crazy Horse Memorial leader Ruth Ziolkowski will begin Monday morning in Custer. A public viewing has been scheduled for 11 a.m. at the studio of the original log home built by Ziolkowski and her husband in 1948.

Ziolkowski died Wednesday of cancer at age 87. She had taken over leadership of Crazy Horse Memorial after her husband, sculptor Korchak Ziolkowski, died in 1982.
