Friday Is Spencer Tornado Anniversary

Friday, May 30 marks the 16th anniversary of the Spencer tornado. It was the most destructive and second deadliest tornado in South Dakota history, leaving six people dead and decimating the town. The F4 tornado caused 1.8 million dollars in damages. Doppler radar data showed wind speeds of nearly 250 miles an hour.
