The Davison County Commission yesterday approved a new five-year land lease with Mitchell Technical Institute. MTI ag students use the land for farming, with 25 percent of income from crop sales going to the county. MTI uses the land free of charge for its land lab program, which is just outside of Mitchell’s city limits. The current contract with Davison County would have expired next month. The new five-year agreement will run through March of 2019.
Authorities searched the home of Subway pitchman Jared Fogle, about two months after the executive director of his nonprofit foundation was arrested on child pornography charges.
It is the fourth time the parties have extended the terms of the interim deal, which was struck in November 2013 and provided Iran with limited sanctions relief in exchange for a halt to the production of uranium enriched to a purity level of 20 percent.
