The fate of one of Mitchell’s oldest houses is on tonight’s Mitchell City Council agenda.  The house located at 205 North Duff Street was built sometime in the 1880′s.  It has been declared a public nuisance by the city after being heavily damaged by fire in 2002.  The owners of the house, Clarence and Lauretta Larsen of Mitchell, say they are working to restore it.  A hearing was held last week in which several witnesses testified about the state of the house, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Tonight’s meeting begins at 7:30 at City Hall. Committee meetings begin at 6:40.
