Mitchell City Councilman Dan Allen was not off of the council for very long – less than four months – before being reappointed by Mitchell Mayor Ken Tracy.  The Mitchell City Council approved the appointment at last night’s meeting. Allen, who was a councilman in Ward 2, resigned early this year after moving to a residence in a different ward. He will replace Councilman Carlson in Ward 3. Carlson resigned after accepting a new full-time job in Pierre. Allen will automatically be elected on June 3rd, as no one else is running for the seat in Ward 3.
