White Sox slugger invited to Oscars

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — White Sox slugger Adam Dunn could be going from the show — to the really big show.

Dunn is invited to the Oscars this coming Sunday in Los Angeles. Dunn has a small role as a bartender in “The Dallas Buyers Club.”

The film has been nominated for six Academy Awards, including best picture and best actor for star Matthew McConaughey.

Sox manager Robin Ventura says it would be “cool” for Dunn to go to the Oscars.

Dunn would likely miss Monday’s game if he does take part in Hollywood’s biggest night.
