LeAnn Rimes undergoes surgery – for a hangnail

Singer LeAnn Rimes is recovering after undergoing surgery for a hangnail on Monday.

The star took to Twitter.com before and after the operation to keep fans up to date with her condition, confessing she was in a lot of pain.

Prior to the procedure, she wrote, “Seriously painful hangnail. About to have surgery at the derm (dermatologist). This is not going be very enjoyable!!”

She later added, “Omg, that hurt! Numbing shots on your fingers are no bueno (good)! at least I don’t feel any pain right now or my hand for that matter.”
