Ben Folds is pleading with a developer to save an iconic piece of Nashville recording history.

According to The Tennessean, which printed an open letter from Folds in its entirety, the building housing the RCA Studio A is about to be sold to a developer. Plans for the site are yet unknown, but Folds wants to make sure that its significance to recording history is considered.

Folds currently leases space in the studio, which has seen the likes of Willie Nelson and Miranda Lambert lay down tracks. Folds himself recently recorded there with the entire Nashville Symphony, The Tennessean reports.
