Mitchell City Council Passes Sidewalk Wine Ordinance

The Mitchell City Council voted on Monday night in favor of an ordinance that would allow sidewalk sales and consumption of wine.  The vote was 5-2 in favor.  Five residents testified against the ordinance, and four testified in favor of it.  Opponents said they would begin a petition drive to refer the issue to a public vote.
