Wine And Beer Licenses Approved For Children’s Museum Of South Dakota

The Brookings City Council approved beer and wine licenses for the Children’s Museum of South Dakota.  Tuesday night’s votes were 5-2 in favor of the beer license and 7-0 in favor of the wine license.  Museum Director Suzanne Hegg says they know there are questions about the action.  She says the revenue will be used to keep admissions lower.  There will not be any alcohol served during the museum’s operating hours.  Hegg adds that other children’s museums allow beer and wine to be served after hours as a source of revenue.
