Two Dead After One-Vehicle Crash Near Wagner

WAGNER, S.D. (AP) — South Dakota authorities say two people have died in a one-vehicle crash on a gravel road near Wagner.

The Highway Patrol says 32-year-old Stephanie Jo Thompson, of Dell Rapids, was driving southbound when she lost control of the vehicle, which entered a ditch and rolled Sunday morning. She was wearing a seatbelt, but was partially ejected from the vehicle and died.

A passenger in the vehicle, 34-year-old Derek Gavin Weston, of Dell Rapids, was not wearing a seatbelt. He died after being thrown from the vehicle.
