Tripp Woman Dies In Crash

A Tripp woman is dead following a single vehicle crash on Highway 37 about seven miles north of Parkston.  85-year old Barbara Armstrong was northbound driving a 2004 Jeep Cherokee on Friday morning just before 10 am.  The vehicle entered the east ditch and rolled, coming to rest on the driver’s side.  Armstrong was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.  She was not wearing a seatbelt.  The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.  The Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Office and the Parkston Fire Department assisted at the scene.
