Third West Nile Death Reported

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — State health officials say a third person has died this year in South Dakota from the West Nile, a person in their 80s from Brule County.

The state Health Department says the state has recorded 122 cases of the mosquito-borne illness statewide in 2013.

The two other deaths were a person in their 70s from Turner County and a Tripp County resident in their 80s.
