Teenager Who Was Shot Returns To School

A northeastern South Dakota teenager who authorities say suffered a head wound in an accidental shooting is back in school.  17-year old Brody Heitmann was shot May 1st in the Britton-Hecla High School parking lot in Britton.  He was released from a Fargo hospital earlier this week and has returned to school.  Heitmann says he is fine, and he doesn’t want to discuss the shooting.  18-year old Dusty Groom was showing Heitmann and two other boys what he thought was an unloaded handgun when the gun went off accidentally.  A bullet hit Heitmann in the head, causing a flesh wound.
