Six Buildings Destroyed In Fire Near Plankinton

Six unoccupied buildings were destroyed yesterday in a three acre fire north of Plankinton.  A passerby reported the fire around 5 p.m. at a farmstead about eight miles north and one mile east of Plankinton.  Firefighters from Plankinton responded and spent more than two hours at the scene.  The farmstead was used to store equipment.  Most of the equipment was destroyed by the fire.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
