Sioux Falls Police Questioning Suspects In Monday Shooting

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Sioux Falls police are questioning two suspects after a 20-year-old man was killed and his father was hospitalized in a shooting at a home in the northwest part of the city.

Minnehaha County sheriff’s deputies made the arrests late Tuesday morning in the town of Dell Rapids, north of Sioux Falls.

Police spokesman Sam Clemens says the man who was killed knew the suspects, and the shooting was not a random act. It occurred about 3 p.m. Monday in a neighborhood near University Center. Both men were shot with a handgun.

Police have not released names or a possible motive.
