Sidewalk Wine Sales On Monday’s City Council Agenda

On tonight’s Mitchell City Council agenda is second reading of an ordinance that would allow the sale and consumption of wine on sidewalks in downtown Mitchell.  The council voted 5-3 in favor of the ordinance on its first reading in May.  A similar ordinance was defeated last year.  Some changes were made, and it was brought back to the council.  Tonight’s meeting begins at 7:30 at City Hall.  A Public Properties Committee meeting will be held at 7:25 also at City Hall.
