Thirty-two high school seniors were honored Wednesday night at the Rotary Scholars Recognition Banquet.  The students represent the top 15 percent of Mitchell Christian High and Mitchell Senior High School students based on grade point averages throughout their high school career.  The Rotary Scholars wrote essays based on the Rotary motto “Service Above Self.”  Two students, Kathryn Reynen from Mitchell Christian and Janae Mehlhaff from Mitchell High School, won 1,500 dollar scholarships for their essays.  The Rotary Club also presented the Carl Sprunger Outstanding Educator Award to MHS teacher Steve Morgan for his contribution to the success of the Rotary scholars.  Morgan received a 250 dollar grant.
