SD Attorney General Likely To Seek Another Term

While not making it official, it appears that South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley would like to stay in that office, at least for another term.  Jackley’s name has been mentioned in connection with a possible run for governor or other elective office.  He says that may happen in the future.  Jackley was appointed in August of 2009 by Governor Mike Rounds.  He succeeded Larry Long, who was appointed to the Second Circuit bench.  Jackley was elected by voters in November of 2010.
