Runaways Lead Authorities On Chase

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Authorities say two runaways from a Sioux Falls-area ranch for troubled boys have been caught after leading authorities on chases involving a stolen vehicle.

The boys were apprehended Monday morning in Lyman County.

Lyman County Sheriff Steve Manger says he got the call at 5 a.m. Monday. At that time, Chamberlain authorities were pursuing the pair after a McCook County gas station reported that they got gas but didn’t pay.

Authorities say that chase was discontinued, but another pursuit of the vehicle was started near Kennebec and ended about 15 minutes later when the stolen vehicle ran out of gas.
