One Dead In Sioux Falls Shooting

One is dead and one is hospitalized after a shooting Monday afternoon in northwest Sioux Falls, police spokesman Sam Clemens said.

The shooting at the 4200 block of N. Alaska Drive was reported at 2:47 p.m.

Clemens said police found one person dead inside the home and another with life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital, but police didn’t have an update on their condition.

Police are unwilling to identify a suspect or a motive until they’ve had time to piece together more information.

A dozen police cars, a fire truck, and an ambulance responded to the residence.
