Nine Cattle Die In Trailer Rollover Near Mitchell

MITCHELL, S.D. (AP) — No people were injured but several cattle died in the crash of a semitrailer on Interstate 90 in Davison County.  The accident closed the off-ramp at the Mitchell exit eastbound to I-90 for several hours on Thursday morning.

The truck tipped on its side in the ditch early Thursday. The semi was hauling 34 cattle and nine are believed to have died.

The cause of the crash was not immediately determined. The Texas driver was not cited.
