Monday Is First Day Of School For DWU, MTI

Monday is the first day of classes at Dakota Wesleyan University and Mitchell Technical Institute.  The entire MTI campus will be at one location for the first time in decades.  The campus is located on South Spruce Street.  Part of the campus had been located on North Capital Street.  A second set of student apartments also opened earlier this month at MTI.  Classes will be held this fall at the new Glenda K. Corrigan Health Sciences Center on the DWU campus.  The building will be dedicated this week.  DWU also has a new president.  Amy Novak replaces Bob Duffett, who resigned to take a job in Pennsylvania in June after spending over a decade at DWU.  Officials from both MTI and DWU say enrollment numbers look good this fall.
