Mitchell VFW Gives Update To City Council

The Mitchell VFW would like to move out of its current location on Main Street, but it will need extra funding to do it.  An update was given at Monday’s Mitchell City Council meeting.  The city has offered the VFW 150,000 dollars to either repair its wall or sell the building.  The VFW asked the city for 175,000 dollars with the hope of possibly moving to the former Cherrybee’s building on North Lawler Street.  The 175,000 dollar request will be on the next city council agenda on August 19th.
