Mitchell Man Being Sued By State Farm

Mitchell Man Being Sued By State Farm

A Mitchell man is being sued by State Farm after a 2010 parade accident.  Former state legislator and educator Ed Olson was driving his Corvette in the 2010 Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo Parade on Mitchell’s Main Street with Davison County Auditor Sue Kiepke sitting on the back of the vehicle.  Olson stepped on the gas, causing Kiepke to fall from the vehicle onto the street.  Kiepke suffered several injuries in the accident, but no charges were filed.  State Farm is attempting to recover nearly 10,000 dollars in medical expenses, accusing Olson of failing to keep his vehicle under proper control.
