Mitchell City Council To Discuss VFW, Streetscape

The Mitchell City Council will meet on Monday night, and on the agenda is discussion of the VFW building in downtown Mitchell.  The city has offered the VFW 150,000 dollars either to purchase the building or to repair the wall.  Also on tonight’s agenda is discussion of a streetscape plan for Mitchell’s Main Street that was unveiled last week.  The 5.8 million dollar plan would include a plaza at the south end of Main Street, curb extensions, stop signs, and a change to diagonal parking on the east side of the street.  The meeting begins at 7:30 at City Hall in downtown Mitchell.  For the complete agenda, log on to city of Mitchell dot org.
