McClure Reappointed To Davison County VSO Position

The Davison County Commission on Tuesday reappointed Steve McClure as Davison County’s veterans service officer.  Concerns had been raised at the last county commission meeting about the job McClure was doing.  Kevin Bowen of the South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs told the commission that in his opinion, McClure is doing a good job in his position.  Bowen added that McClure has been a strong advocate for Davison County.  Several veterans and family members of veterans attended the meeting to voice support for McClure.  Davison County Commissioner Denny Kiner, who is also a veteran, said he received about thirty calls about the appointment, and all but one were supportive of McClure.  McClure’s four year reappointment begins in January.
