A Lake Andes man has been arrested on two counts of vehicular homicide for a crash near Pickstown that killed two people. Ronald Fischer Junior voluntarily surrendered himself to the Charles Mix County Sheriff’s office yesterday. Fischer had a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit when the vehicle he was driving struck and killed Robert Klumb of Pierre and Maegen Spindler of New York on July 8th. Fischer’s vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign at a highway intersection and then traveled into a parking lot, where it hit the two US Fish and Wildlife Service researchers. Fischer is being held on a 200,000 dollar cash bond.
