Gas Prices In The Dakotas Could Set Records

Gas Prices In The Dakotas Could Set Records

Gas prices in the Dakotas are set to reach all-time highs.  South Dakota’s record average price for a gallon of regular gas is $4.09 per gallon.  That was set in July of 2008.  The average price in the state on Friday was $3.89.  In North Dakota, the record of $4.08 per gallon is likely to be broken in the next couple of days.  Average price there is $3.98 per gallon.  Accidents at Midwest oil refineries and the planned temporary closures of two large refineries in Chicago are cited as the reasons for the gas price increases.
