Gas Prices Down In South Dakota

A gallon of gas in South Dakota is down to $3.16. That’s 27 cents lower than just a month ago.

According to AAA South Dakota, the last time gas was below $3.15 was in January. The statewide average is 81 cents below the high of nearly $4 a gallon in May.

The national average is not expected to drop below $3 a gallon anytime soon.

Among South Dakota’s largest cities, Sioux Falls has the cheapest gas at 2.92 a gallon.  Gas in Pierre is 3.37 per gallon.  Here in Mitchell, the average price for a gallon of regular gas is 3.11 per gallon.
