Funeral Services To Be Held For Audrey Kinsella

Funeral services will be held on Saturday for the first woman ever elected to the Mitchell City Council.  Audrey Kinsella died last week at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital.  She was 86 years old.  She was elected to the Mitchell City Council in 1970, serving two terms.  In 1975, she was appointed to the Mitchell Planning Commission, becoming the first woman in South Dakota to chair a city planning commission.  Kinsella was also instrumental in the development of the Davison County Mental Health Association, which led to the present-day Dakota Counseling Institute.  Funeral services for Audrey Kinsella will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
