Fires Destroy Area Houses

A Tuesday night fire destroyed a house in rural Alexandria.  At around 8:30 last night, firefighters responded to a fire at 24803 422nd Avenue at a house on a farm about five miles northeast of Fulton.  The house is owned by Doug Nelson, brother of South Dakota Representative Stace Nelson of Fulton.  No additional information has been released.

Fire destroyed a house in rural Wessington Springs yesterday morning just after 10:30.  The house, located one mile south and two miles east of Wessington Springs, was owned by Ed and Steve Speck.  No one was in the house at the time of the fire.
