ESPN’s Buster Olney To Give NSU Commencement Speech

ESPN’s Buster Olney To Give NSU Commencement Speech

Sports fans at Northern State University in Aberdeen may see a familiar face giving the commencement speech this year – Buster Olney of ESPN.  The Aberdeen campus is a familiar place for the sports writer and baseball analyst. Through reporting and writing a book about former basketball coach Don Meyer, Olney has gotten to know several students.  It was Meyer’s job to find this year’s commencement speaker, and he wanted Olney.  Olney is taking on other tasks while in Aberdeen, signing books and throwing the first pitch at an NSU game. After Aberdeen, Olney won’t waste any time, flying to San Francisco to cover a Sunday baseball game on ESPN.
