Davison County Land To Be Auctioned Again

Davison County Land To Be Auctioned Again

A piece of Davison County land south of the Public Safety Center will be auctioned for a second time after the land was re-platted but listed with its original appraised value.  The three acres of land had initially been appraised at about 189,000 dollars.  Jeff Bathke won the auction with a bid of 180,000 dollars.  He paid the county an 18,000 dollar down payment.  The county commission removed 55,000 square feet from the auctioned land, decreasing its value by about 60,000 dollars.  Bathke asked for a refund of his down payment due to the conflicting information.  The county approved the request.  The land will be appraised and auctioned again.
