City Council To Meet Monday Evening

Several discussion items are on Monday night’s Mitchell City Council agenda.  The council will discuss the possibility of changing to a city administrator form of government.  Mitchell Mayor Ken Tracy has proposed that the council take a look at different forms of government for the city, including a city administrator or a full-time mayor.  The council will also discuss professional fundraising proposals for the Mitchell Main Street and Beyond streetscape project, which was unveiled earlier this year, and the Corn Palace renovation project.  Installation of flashing yellow lights and 15 mile per hour speed limit signs on Capital Street in front of Mitchell High School will also be discussed.  Monday’s meeting begins at 7:30 at City Hall.  Prior to the meeting, the Public Works Committee will meet at 6:10 and the Finance Committee will meet at 7:10.
