Chamberlain Academy To Close

Chamberlain Academy To Close

A youth treatment center in Chamberlain will be closing at the end of the month.  Youth Services International of Florida made the announcement earlier this month that Chamberlain Academy will close.  Just over 20 boys and girls ages 13 to 18 have been housed in the facility over the past year.  That is half of the licensed capacity.  They will likely be transitioned into other programs.  The facility employs nearly 40 people.  They will have the option to transfer within Youth Services International.  The company operates facilities in Minnesota, Iowa, Georgia, and Florida.
