Alexandria Man Dies After Being Run Over

An Alexandria man is dead after being run over by his own car.  90 year old Leland LaDue got out of his car to put mail in his mailbox on Tuesday afternoon.  When he got out, the car was still in reverse.  It ran over him and continued into the ditch.  LaDue’s wife was in the car when the accident happened in front of their residence on 421st Avenue seven miles south of Alexandria in Hanson County.  The South Dakota Highway Patrol, Hanson County Sheriff’s Office, Mitchell Ambulance, and Hanson County first responders assisted.
