Corn:

Exports: Taiwan buys 60,000t Brazil.

Comments: Weekly export sales old crop (-) minus 15,000t, new crop 673.800t led by Mexico and Japan; some talk of harvest next week in central Ind.? and “looks good”; early reports Ms. and Ar. at 230bu. scattered up to 280, Kentucky 240+?; open interest fell 11,400 led by Sept.

(KEEP IN MIND TOMORROW 1ST NOTICE DAY, and one of the reasons the Sept/Dec. spreads have turned).

SOYBEANS:

Exports: None Visible.

Comments: Weekly export sales old crop (-) 3,200t, new crop 868,700t; new crop soymeal and soyoil sales improved but light side; weather still a wild card and so far inconclusive, might be determined Sunday night; open interest rose 11,500 (the ‘battle lines’ getting tighter) even as Sept. falls 3,000 amid moderate volume.

Wheat:

Exports: So. Korea buys Canada; Egypt buys 295,000t Ukraine/Russ./Romania.

Comments: Weekly export sales rose 12% to 551,300t; open interest fell 4,455 led by Sept. off 6,480 amid moderate volume.
